A little bit more......

A rather gorgeous table centre
A little bit more.....a motto of our holiday! And I think its a motto I will take into the weeks to come. We all need a little bit more time to do the things we love! Time to relax, time to go on holiday!

Speaking of holidays, Laura and I have both had time away which was fabulous...we did not much more than drink yummy wine, eat delicious cheese and lie around in the sun reading! I think a little bit more of that would be good for anyone.

But back to some sort of reality and sharing of some wedding  snaps! Where ever you are I hope you have a fabulous Easter weekend and enjoy doing a little bit more of what you love...Signing out and #LBM to all

Heavenly climes

Mixed rose hand-tie

Hasn't this weather been heavenly?? Sitting out in the garden most evenings this week with a glass of wine has been gorgeous.
We have just about recovered from Mother's day weekend, it was a roaring success and helped by having a fabulous team of workers with us! We are loving out new member of staff Amy whose hand-ties are coming along fabulously (Photo will follow)

Wedding season is in full swing so enjoy the photo's. We were at Bath Spa hotel last weekend
and are at Leigh Park hotel next weekend...

Mother's day yumminess
Good news for Young Blooms is that its holiday season for us!! Hurrah I hear you say....
Laura is currently off in very sunny Cornwall and I will be racing off to France next week!
(looking forward to far too much red wine and delicious cheese)

So adieu until next time my friends!!

George actually sat still, so couldn't resist...

On the move

Yup that's right, Young Blooms is on the move....20 yards!! We have moved into a beautiful purpose built workshop/space thanks to the guys from Bath Bespoke Carpentry  and Hartley Farm. We are really pleased as we are in for all the madness that is Mother's day weekend. The only problem is that we get excited about all the new things we want to buy (E.g decent coffee machine, radio that actually works, sofa that's actually comfortable to sit on!)
Stacked full of Mother's Day loveliness

Anyway the pictures don't show it in it's true glory but at least dear reader it gives you an idea.

Wedding season has certainly started for us and we did a beautiful one in Bath Abbey a week ago. The Grooms parents had got married at the Abbey so therefore this couple were allowed. It felt very strange setting all the flowers up with tourists wondering around but apparently they close it off an hour before.

I have included a couple more photos from other weddings, so enjoy the rest of the weekend and hope you all survived the clock going forwards!!

PS Don't forget its Mother's day this Sunday and our on-line shop is now live so go and place your orders!!!

PPS George the cat has now arrived and is attempting to sit on the laptop so work is no longer possible!!

Spring has sprung?

What to make of this rather marvellous weather? I have the back door open, the Cat is flat out on her back in the sun and I have begun to tackle the rather weedy garden!! I bought my first lot of seeds this year as I have taken a rather big step and got an allotment with a bunch of friends at Hartley farm. Check out the news at http://hartley-farm.blogspot.com/ So I will living the good life.......*giggles*

Its been a busy couple of weeks at Young Blooms HQ. Bouquets been flying out the door and we have also supplied flowers for Perfect Wedding magazine at the National Wedding Show in Birmingham. We will be featured in next months magazine so look for us there.

Well, this is a flying visit to the blog, so enjoy the gorgeous spring weather and I look forward to the future joy of Mother's day....

Spring Sun & Valentines love....

Entrance to the wedding ceremon
Well, what a day. We have just finished a stunning wedding at Brympton House in Somerset! An absolutely gorgeous location...ceremony was held in the barn and reception was in the great hall! Colour scheme was ivory roses throughout with blue thistle, elegant yet effective!

Birdcage heaven
The Bride sourced a variety of birdcages which had roses and lisianthus spilling out of them. Then for the reception she had candelabras on the table! The great hall where the meal was to be held was just glorious, the sun was shining through as we constructed the centrepieces. Its amazing what you can get done when you put your head down and go! But thanks to Bristol candelabra hire and their witty banter and helpful sweeping we succeeded!

I hope you all enjoy the rest of the weekend and I look forward to blogging more Valentine joy & madness! Signing out and off to make apple pie...

We have had a brilliant day today...meeting lots of brides!! Its been wedding crazy. Its so gorgeous that no one wedding is the same.Every bride has ideas that will make her day completely unique and her own. I love that we can play a creative part in making that happen. Treats are a girls best friend

A rather delicious Young Blooms table centre
Well, as we have already done the first week back to work I wonder how its been for you??
I think we have both found that treats have been the way to get through for us!! This involved having nice massages, buying a copy of this months Country Living, & having nice coffee at the Fat Fowl in Bradford and as a reward for clearing the house and workshop of Christmas leftovers, I filled it with our beautiful fresh flowers.
It's also been a week for planning & looking at the year to come. We are both excited because following the success of our Christmas wreath workshops, we are planning more workshops later in the year -  dates and details are being firmed up so we will let you know once they are confirmed.

Valentines Day & Mother's Day surprises are both in the bag as well so look out for the delicious designs that will be filling our workshop!!

Weekly arrival from the Isles of Scilly

We have begun getting our weekly delivery of scented Narcissus from the Isles of Scilly - they are certainly good for the soul when its tipping down with rain, so do come and pick some up at Hartley Farmshop as they are on special offer for a limited time.

Wherever you are, make sure to treat yourself this week!!

My daily latte treat......
