Change of the seasons

I hung this on our shop door at Hartley Farm  last year.

Love autumn walks, as long as your wrapped up snugly.
Hoping to beat last years crop.

Rather yummy sunflowers we put in at the Three Daggers
An inspiring palette for your wedding?

The joys of Instagram....

Our pumpkin patch in the garden is ready to be picked, it's an annual tradition in this household to get photos of all pumpkins grown held by my husband in a very manly way of course!! We invite friends round, cook some food and generally have a rather fabulous time.

Sometimes I love Autumn and sometimes I find the grey weather quite depressing, though now I have no excuse not to like it cause we had a little puppy join our family last week. He's currently going mental in the kitchen while I write this blog, it really doesn't take much for him to be entertained.

I promise I'll post some picture soon, in the meantime do enjoy the pictures.

"The flowers were exactly what I'd dreamed of and so much more!!"

How fabulous is that! You can't really ask for more from a Bride.

We thought you would enjoy these gorgeous photos from a wedding we did at Bishopstrow House Hotel back in the summer. The soft palette of creams, peaches, lilac and purple was very summery & relaxed. The bride carried a bouquet of gorgeous pom-pom dahlia, peachy roses, scented stocks and the palest lilac veronica. There was huge amounts of texture which were all very cottage garden in style.

The bridesmaids had smaller versions of the Brides bouquet and the little flower-girl carried a pomander of  lisianthus!

For the reception piled glass cake stands with mounds of gorgeous flowers and as it was a warm day you could smell the scent of them as you walked into the reception room.

All in all it was quite a yummy affair and all I can say is roll on next summer.

A mixed bag of flowers

Love the deep windowsills at Priston Mill

We were just smelling the fabulous scent of the freesia all morning.

Love these chair-backs at Priston Mill

A simple & elegant bridal bouquet.

A very romantic gesture from a Groom to his Bride to be.

Quite a fan of any man who sends a very romantic bouquet of flowers to his Bride to be on the morning of their wedding.
It has been a real mixed bag of occasions and I think the above was one of the highlights.
I know I was wittering on about Indian summers in my last blog post, did I jinx the weather?? I've had wet feet all day so it has been a bit miserable.
Anyway do enjoy the rather lovely selection of floral photographs above, most of which I think were taken at Priston Mill. {What a fabulous place that is} and do try & stay dry.

Centre of glory

Fresh & Simple at Monkton Combe School
Elegant orchids at Limpley Stoke
Vintage jugs at Wick farm
My favourite of the Summer at the Fat fowl
Cheerful moments at  Bailbrooke
Floral cake-stands at Bishopstrow House Hotel

A brief review of some of the fabulous wedding reception tables we have dressed through the summer.
The summer seems to have whizzed by in a blur of colour.
I can't believe that dratted Christmas catalogues are falling through the post box.
I've been trying to spend lots of time in the garden picking dahlias and watching the pumpkins ripen pretending we really are having an Indian summer.
